Abstract
Cervical vertebral involvement is extremely rare in Pott’s disease but it may lead to severe complications. Therefore, early diagnosis and treatment is required. In this report, a 23 yearold paraplegic male with cervical vertebral involvement showing magnetic resonance imaging findings for Pott’s abscess was presented. Mycobacterium tuberculosis was isolated from the abscess culture and he had positive interferon-γ release assay. As this case demonstrated vertebral tuberculosis should be kept in mind in patients admitted with severe neck pain and progressive neurological deficit, and these patients should also be investigated in this respect.
