Invasive fungal infection (IFI) is a condition that develops among immunosupressed patients particularly and requires the prompt diagnosis and treatment. Histopathological examination and culture are the gold standards for the diagnosis, but difficulties in sampling and shortcomings of culture mandate use of easier and faster methods.
