Abstract
Salmonella osteomyelitis is rare in immunocompetent patients and commonly seen in patients with underlying disease such as sickle cell anemia, thalassemia, diabetes mellitus or immunocompromised disease. We report a case of skin and soft tissue infection and osteomyelitis due to Salmonella enteritidis in a 72 years old male with no significant comorbidities succesfully treated with antimicrobial therapy and surgical intervention.
