Abstract
Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF) is widely used for chronic hepatitis B treatment and is a safe and potent antiviral drug that has high genetic barrier. The TDF therapy is rarely changed due to side effects. The side effects of TDF include nausea, vomiting, hypophosphatemia, elevated creatinine, lactic acidosis, and dermatitis. Nail pitting as a side effect due to the use of TDF has not been found in the literature which we could reach. A case of chronic hepatitis B is presented in this report in which treatment was changed due to nail pitting and nausea in the sixth month of TDF treatment. Klimik Dergisi 2018; 31(3): 241-3.
