Abstract
Ralstonia pickettii are considered contaminant bacteria and infections due to this bacteria are quite rare. Meningitis, pneumonia, bacteremia, septic arthritis, discitis and osteomyelitis cases due to these bacteria have been reported, but ventriculoperitoneal shunt infection due to R. pickettii in adult patients has not been reported so far. In this article, a case of ventriculoperitoneal shunt infection due to R. pickettii in a patient who completely recovered with appropriate antibiotic treatment was presented.
