Abstract
Cardiac hydatid cyst is a rare disease. Among the other hydatid cyst infections, cardiac hydatid cysts constitutes 0.5-2% of hydatidosis cases. Early diagnosis and treatment is life-saving. We present a case of cardiac hydatid cyst that was removed surgically and cured in a patient suffering from fatigue and difficulty of breathing, with a lesion in the left ventricular wall of the heart with a dimension of 3.5×2.5 cm detected by magnetic resonance imaging and echocardiography.
