Abstract
Tularemia is a zoonotic disease caused by Francisella tularensis. It has ulceroglandular, glandular, pneumonic, typhoid, oculoglandular and oropharyngeal forms, and has been the cause of several epidemics in our country from time to time. Herein, a sporadic oropharyngeal case that did not respond to quinolone treatment is presented. While starting treatment, abscess formation was observed in ultrasonography and new lymphadenopathies developed during the treatment process. Medical treatment with streptomycin and tetracycline as well as surgical drainage was applied to the patient.
